After unison praises from both critigues and audiences, GRUBB returns to Bitef in a more intimate form: Roma sijam. Roma sijam is a window into the world of Roma teenagers in Serbia. The songs show juxtaposition of their traditions, their true worries, joys and combats in modern ages. Roma sijam brings music genres and uses dance, theatre, photography, rap and traditional Roma tunes to bring about a concert that is an honest testimony of everyday life of young Roma, Five young men. Roma, Twenty-first century. Rap and hip-hop are staged over ancient Roma traditions. The image of Gypsy world, breaking down in order to find its position in modern reality, burdened with rejections. Our back warded clichés regarding this community are tumbling down and a group of young Roma, in no way similar to folklore images we might have had in our heads, are presented to us.
