Битеф

OLIVER FRLJIĆ was born on 1976 in Travnik. He graduated in philosophy and religious culture and the theatre and radio direction from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. His productions have participated in numerous festivals: Wiener Festwochen (Vienna), Perforation Festival (New York), Gavella’s Evenings (Zagreb), Split Summer Festival, APAF (Salzburg), Dubrovnik Summer Festival, MESS, Sterijino Pozorje, BITEF... Frljić is a winner of the most prestigious regional and European awards and Biljana KovačevićVučo Award for the promotion and protection of human rights. His productions Turbofolk, The Bacchae, Damned Be the Traitor of His Homeland, Cowardice, Letter from 1920, Zoran Djindjić, Aleksandra Zee, 25. 671 and others have made his name as a director cultivating specific aesthetics and political awareness, whose work is based on the incubation of a new type of social responsibility.
