DEJAN DUKOVSKI Dejan Dukovski was born in Skopje 25 April 1969. He graduated in dramaturgy from Coran Stefanovski's class at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje and is now Assistant Professor teaching film and TV script writing. Five of his plays were staged: Balkanski vampir (The Balkan Vampire, 1 989, Open Youth Festival and Faculty of Dramatic Arts); Siljan roda (Siljan the Stork, 1991, Youth and Children's Theatre, Skopje), Džin i sedam patuljaka (The Giant and the Seven Dwarfs, 1992, MOT Skopje and Veles), Balkan nije mrtav (The Balkans is not Dead, 1993, Bitola, award for the best domestic text at the festival in Prilep), Bure baruta (The Powder-Keg, 1 993, premiere at the National Theatre in Skopje, directed by Saša Milenkovski). He also wrote the script for the omnibus feature

film Svetio Sivo (Light Grey, Pegaz and Faculty of Dramatic Arts, Skopje). He made study visits to the USA (New York and Ohio) and Italy. The Powder-Keg (Bure Barut in Macedonian) is the first Macedonian play produced on the big stage of the Yugoslav Drama Theatre.
