Extensive and easily accessible by nature, as well as understandable and expandable, graphic design imbues all levels of life and creativity so that all the changes in the state, society and the art itself could be comprehensively perceived through it. The history of Graphic Design in Serbia from 1950 to 1970 is at the same time political, economic and cultural history of the country in which it emerged and developed. Concerning the fact that it was most often tied to the official institutions of the system, which commissioned designers to work for them, graphic design directly expressed movements in the society and conveyed messages of the time.

Many authors who have dealt with the posters made stamps too, and their artistic handwriting is legible and easily recognizable in this kind of graphic art smaller in scale than others of its type.
