Of the creation of angels, and of Lucifer: defcribing how he was in the angelicat form, and how he is now in his own proper form, by his rejecting, and thereby extinguifhing, the divine light of the fecond principle in himfelf-

rie EHOLD, O child of man,, all the angels were created in the firft principle, and by the flowing forth of the Holy Spirit were formed, and bodified in a true angelical and fpiritual manner; and inlightened from the light of God; that they might increafe the paradifical joy, and abide therein eternally: * but being they * were to abide eternally, they muft be * formed out of the firft principle which * is an indiffoluble band:’ and they were to look upon the heart or Son of God, to receive his light, and to feed upon the word, which food was to be their holy prefer-
