MIRJANA KARANOVIĆ predsednica žirija. Glumica, rediteljka i profesorka glume na Akademiji umetnosti u Beogradu. Za svoj umetnički rad dobila je najvažnija priznanja i nagrade na prostorima bivše Jugoslavije. Rodena je u Beogradu, 1957. Diplomirala je glumu na Fakultetu dramskih umetnosti. U pozorištu je ostvarila najširi dijapazon uioga savremenog i klasičnog repertoara u produkcijama Jugoslovenskog dramskog pozorišta, Zvezdara teatra, Bepgradskog dramskog pozorišta, Bitef teatra, Kamernog teatra 55 u Sarajevo i HNK u Rijeci. Na filmu je debitovala 1980. naslovnom ulogom u filmu Srđana Karanovića Petrijin venae (hagraden Zlatnom arenom u Puli), a internacionalnu slavu je stekla ulogom majke u kultnom filmu Emira Kusturice Otac na službenom putu. Saradivala je s najznačajnijim rediteljima jugoslovenskog I srpskog filma, među kojima su: Goran Marković, Lordan Zafranović, Boro Drašković, Veljko Bulajić, Žika Pavlović, Goran Paskaljević, Branko Baletić... Godine 2005. igrala je u filmu Grbavica, prvencu bosanske rediteljke Jasmile Žbanić. Godine 2008. dobila je nagradu „Osvajanje slobode" koja se dodeljuje ženi koja se svojim deiovanjem zalaže za afirmaeiju principa ljudskih prava, pravne države, demokratije i toleraneije u društvu. Medu brojnim nagradama ima I priznanje „Žanka Stokić" za celokupno stvaralaštvo u pozorištu, kao i Zlatni lovorov vijenac za doprinos pozorišnoj umetnosti. U Bitef teatru, 2012. režirala je komad Sare Kejn Psihoza u 4:47. Kao pozorišnu I filmsku umetnicu, profesorku i aktivistkinju, Mirjanu Karanović smatraju jednom od najeenjenijih ličnosti na kulturnoj i javnoj seen! Srbije i regiona.
MIRJANA KARANOVIĆ, the president of the jury, is an actress, a directress and a teacher of acting at the Academy of Art in Belgrade. Her artistic work has been awarded with most relevant prizes in ex-Yugoslav region. She was born in Belgrade in 1957. She graduated in Acting from the Faculty of Drama Arts in Belgrade. She has played a wide range of modern and classical theatre roles in Yugoslav Drama Theatre, Zvezdara Theatre, Belgrade Drama Theatre, Bitef Theatre, Chamber Theatre 55 in Sarajevo, and Croatian National Theatre in Rijeka. She had her film debut in 1980 in Srđan Karanović’s film Petrija's Wreath (awarded with Golden Arena in Pula film festival) and became internationally recognized through the role of mother in Emir Kusturica's cult film When Father Was Away on Business. She has cooperated with some of the most renowned film directors in Yugoslavia and Serbia: Goran Marković, Lordan Zafranović, Boro Draskovic, Veljko Bulajić, Žlka Pavlović, Goran Paskaljević, Branko Baletić... In 2005, she played a role in Grbavica, the debut film of Bosnian directress Jasmila Žbanić. In 2008, she won the prize "Conquest of Freedom", given to women who support the principles of human rights, legal state, democracy and tolerance, through their work. Among the many awards, she has received “Žanka Stokić” for her entire professional achievement, and “Golden Laurel Wreath” for her contribution to theatre art. In 2012, she directed Sarah Kane’s Psychosis 4:47 in Bitef Theatre. As a theatre and film artist, professor and activist, Mirjana Karanović is considered one of the most respected persons in the culture of Serbia and of the region.
